The US Department of Agriculture is offering a grant and loan program called the Section 504 Home Repair Program to help low income and seniors afford housing improvements. The loans may be used to repair, improve or modernize homes or remove health and safety hazards. The grants must be used to remove health and safety hazards. The loan fixed interest rate is 1%.
