Brier Hill Volunteer Fire Department plays an important role in keeping all residents safe. In addition to answering fire and other emergency calls, the BHVFD hosts fundraisers that are open to all: Golf Tournament, Kids Touch a Truck, barbeque chicken dinners and more. Stop by to say thank you!
Black Lake Fish and Game Association is an integral part of Morristown. A membership organization, members pay annul dues o $50 and lifetime dues of $500. BLFGA hosts local high school trap teams, and offers members a 100yd rifle & 50yd pistol range with covered firing lines and an archry rante & tower.
Morristown Gateway Museum: The MGM is a vibrant, welcoming organization that is housed in the historic Comstock Social Hall on Main Street, one of the largest and most important buildings in Morristown. The group also has developed and manages the Red Barn Nature Preserve at 518 River Road East, between the Hamlet and Jacques Cartier State Park. The MGM has a robust Summer schedule offering many concerts on Main Streets, historical presentations, a mini-golf tournament, and more. Morristown Promotions Council: Morristown Promotions is the organization behind the book boxes, flowers, and Hometown Hero banners you see around town. They also host events like RiverLights and The Great Chili Cookoff, with more in the planning stages. Would you like to volunteer for one day or several? There is room for all, including all ages, at Morristown Promotions.
Morristown Public Library: The friends of the Morristown Public Library group is often heavily involved in fundraising for the library and often oversees periodic book sales. Friends groups always serve at the pleasure of the library board which is the only body with legal authority to set policy for the development of the library.
Morristown Volunteer Fire Department: The MVFD and MVFD Auxilliary provide important services, events and good times. In 2023, the Department went on 610 life-saving calls! In addition to fighting fires, training young firefighters, and making ambulance runs, the Department and Auxilliary organize the 4th of July parade, fireworks and festival, community bingo, community dinners and more. This group welcomes new members.
