Welcome to the Town of Morristown, NY, a community of 2,000 bordered by the majestic St. Lawrence River to the north and the renowned fishing lake, Black Lake, to the south. The Thousand Islands vacation area begins here and runs to Lake Ontario. The Town is comprised of three separate, but united hamlets: Edwardsville, Brier Hill, and Morristown. The New York State Burn Ban for 2026 will be in effect from March 16 to May 14. Residents are prohibited from burning brush, leaves, and yard debris to reduce wildfire risks. Exceptions include small cooking fires and small campfires using clean, untreated wood.
